Ms Fredrick would teach us day after day difficult algebra questions.  Math was always my hardest subject and Algebra being the hardest.  She would teach from her overhead projection, smudging out her mistakes with the first of her hand, making the sides of her hands black and inky.  The projector that we used for Flash was generously gleaned off the land, while Ms Fredrick's struggled to teach other child math.
